High School Program

Part of our College Bound Program, our high school program starts the summer going into 9th Grade, and supports students all the way through high school graduation.

The high school component of NJ LEEP focuses on developing academic and non-academic skills to help students identify meaningful goals and work toward college enrollment and success.

100% of NJ LEEP students have graduated high school; 99% enroll in college and 74% complete earn a college degree.

NJ LEEP students enroll in colleges and universities in New Jersey and across the country. Recent graduates have enrolled in Rutgers, Montclair State, Drew University, Brandeis, Pomona College, and Georgetown, among many others.


High school programming by year:

9th-12th Grade
Students attend programming during summer, after school, and also participate in our Saturday Writing Program twice a month.

9th Grade Summer Law Institute
Students learn criminal law, visit corporate legal departments, and compete in a mock trial.

9th Grade Life Skills Course
Students focus on study skills, conflict resolution, and explore colleges and careers.

10th Grade Week-on-the-Job
Students participate in four experiences at corporate offices in NYC and NJ during the summer.

10th Grade Constitutional Law
Students develop writing and public speaking skills, work with an attorney mentor, and compete in debates.

11th Grade Junior Experience
Students focus on social-emotional learning, financial literacy, social justice, and ACT/SAT test prep during the summer and school year.

12th Grade College Access Program 
Students work on all components of the college application process, including personal statements, creating a resume,researching and visiting colleges, completing the Common App, completing scholarship and financial aid applications, and more.


Additional ways we support all of our students
