where i am today…

I graduated from Rutgers university in 2019 and I recently graduated from Seton Hall Law School in June of 2022. NJ LEEP found me at a time where I was extremely immature and felt alone in my educational career.

I had always known that I wanted to be successful, but I did not have any sense of direction. NJ LEEP helped me with that. NJ LEEP provided me with structure, understanding the importance of meeting deadlines and the consequences of not meeting them. I can confidently say that NJ LEEP showed me tough love and it made me reach into my untapped potential.

I am currently clerking for the Honorable Judge Harold Fullilove Jr. in Essex County Superior Court and while I was getting trained by my predecessor, she informed me that my main goal is to “make the Judge look good on the bench and inside of the courthouse.” After further conversation, I concluded that she meant meeting deadlines and learning my job as quickly as I can.

Thanks to the skills that I initially started sharpening as a NJ LEEP student, I was able to quickly adjust to my position and be of great assistance to the Judge. NJ LEEP’s impact on my life will always be appreciated and I will be forever grateful.
