School-Based Program

The NJ LEEP School-Based Program is in partnership with the Newark Public School District. The goal of the program is to bring college-access programming to high schools in Newark and increase the number of students matriculating to and completing college.

This free program will be piloted at East Side and Central High Schools and be open to Juniors. Programming takes place after school, from spring of Junior year through the end of Senior year. Students will receive support and guidance on the college application process, information about financial aid and advising on college decisions.

The NJ LEEP School-Based program provides an individualized approach for every student and family.

Once students enroll in college, they become part of NJ LEEP’s College Student Success Program where they receive further support on the transition to college and launching into career. During their time in CSS, students participate in regular check-ins that focus on academics, community building, finances and mental health. Students also attend virtual and in-person workshops to help them chart their career path and find internships.

Applications are currently open for both school-based locations. The program will start in January 2025. For more information please contact:
