Corporate Engagement
Ways to get your employer involved:
-
10th graders participate in summer Week on the Job micro internships at corporations, law firms, and government offices.
Companies host 4 – 8 students for Monday – Thursday of one week
Students rotate among hosts for four weeks of different experiences. The program exposes students to many different professional and career paths and provides opportunities for professional skill development.
NJ LEEP staff work closely with host sites to provide guidance on building a schedule. Both students and host sites attend orientation prior to the program starting.
There is a modest fee for hosting students at the cost of $300 per student and a $500 administrative fee.
WOTJ weeks for summer 2024 are:
July 8th – 11th
July 15th – 18th
July 22nd – 25th
July 29th – August 1st
Please contact Le’Nae Jenkins, Development Operations Coordinator at ljenkins@njleep.org for more information.
Resources for Week-on-the-Job hosts:
-
Middle and High School students participate in field trips to learn about different careers, meet professionals, and learn what education and experience are necessary to work in that field. Field trips take place during the summer and periodically throughout the academic year.
Field trips focus on career-path building, networking, facilities tours, hands-on activities and opportunities for our students to interact with and learn from professionals.
Please consider becoming a field trip host for the 2023-24 school year or summer 2024 program! To learn more, contact Caryn Tomljanovich at ctomljanovich@njleep.org or (862) 390-1283.
Or bring your team to volunteer at one of our volunteer events!
